PELUMI'S

WEB PAGE

Hello. My name is PELUMI A.K.A. BLAZE.

I live in Dagenham, I go to school at Dagenham Park school. The school is getting bigger and better. I live with my mum, dad, sister and my little brother (annoying little boy).

HOW I GOT INVOLVED WITH THE SUMMER SCHOOL.

I got involved with the summer school because I had nothing to do during the summer holidays and it will be a great opportunity to work with scientists, new people and also make new friends. I will like to thank my science teacher for encouraging me to join this summer school; and I am glad I did. The summer school was very interesting, fun, funny and also very serious. During the summer school we went to many places, such as the London School of Hygiene and Tropical medicine, stubbers and the Natural History Museum.

FIRST WEEK IN THE SUMMER SCHOOL.

The first week of the summer school was all about team building, meeting students and workers in the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. We met people like Carolyn Stephens, Chris Grundy, Mary Cameron, Kevin Tetteh, Spencer Polley,Gareth Weedall, David Conway, each of these people are studying different topics such as dust mites(asthma)and malaria. During this week we had lectures from each of them, about what we will do and study if we are interested in choosing their topic.

SECOND WEEK IN THE SUMMER SCHOOL.

Second week of the summer school, we started with our work, we also got the chance to get into our groups, get to know each other a bit more, also to know more about each others interests.
